Dental Implant Bridge unit and Dental Implant Dentures

This image highlights how dental implants can be used to hold a four unit dental implant bridge.  The implants are placed as normal, but instead of requiring a single implant per restored implant crown, a restoration is possible by using an dental implant bridge.  These types of bridge units are effective for implants replacing molars.  The main advantage is the reduced number of implants, this will significantly reduce the overall cost.  There may be other benefits to a reduced number of implants which may be highlighted at consultation and may be due to the level of bone and bone density only able to support a set number of implants.

There are similar clip in dental implant dentures which provide an excellent alternative to dentures falling out or discomfort whilst chewing.  In some instances with only four implant units an entire denture arch can be held in place.  The implants will remain in place underneath the gums, whilst the denture can be clipped into these implants and removed to make brushing and oral hygiene possible.
